      Pretty positive experience with ADK - Project Manager ADK Group Employee Review

      Pros

      Overall my experience at ADK was primarily positive, the team was great to work with, the projects themselves were interesting, and I felt like I grew a lot in my time working there. I certainly would have stayed longer had I not experience such intense burn out.

      Cons

      At times the work/life balance just didn't exist, I saw several team members beside myself be asked to take on more and more work when bandwidth was already slim. I felt I left the company on pretty amicable terms, but was very disappointed to learn later on that my manager and others refused to provide a reference for me for no discernible reason. I would hope that my previous team members would be happy for my career growth and not be spiteful, but that didn't seem to be the case.

      A truly one of a kind team and culture that did some great work together.

      Cons

      We had to learn everything as we went. We were constantly doing taking ourselves out of our comfort zone, which is hard work.

      Pros

      The software engineers and project managers at ADK are some of the most dedicated and hardworking people I’ve ever known. They truly put in 100% effort every day, and it shows. Dan, the CEO, is a fantastic leader, boss, and friend. He doesn’t play favorites and does everything he can to setup his employees for maximum success. The products that I worked on were predominantly health focused, which was fantastic to see myself making a difference in the world. The clients were overall wonderful. I will miss them and the co-workers very much.

      Cons

      The company is growing fast, has lots of clients, and occasionally can get a bit hectic. I found my work life balance being a bit thrown off from my time there, especially due to the time off policies that left a bit to be desired. Still, Dan made up for it by constantly being there for support and went out of his way to make everyone feel welcomed. They are quite hesitant to try out new technologies, yet at the same time can’t seem to settle on the same stack for all their projects.
