Pros
None for me. See below.
Cons
Personally for me, I accepted the job offer because based on the interview, I thought I would be working with loyal people who care for the growth and development of their employees. Instead, what I found was that my manager expected me to know how to do my job without any training or support. Despite that, I genuinely tried to do my job to the best of my ability. In my interim review, I was told I was awesome and that they couldn't be happier with my progress. The only thing said that wasn't exactly positive was that by my 1 year mark, I should be able to independently complete my deliverables without them having to be reviewed. Before I had the chance to show them that I could work independently, less than a month later, I was let go. I was told I was not a fit for that company and that I had to leave the next day. How nice of them to give me a one day notice and 5 days pay afterwards...which coincidentally turned out to be the vacation days I accrued and never took. No additional severance at all. But that's not even the worst part....the part that hurt most was getting no warning at all and having my manager pretend like everything was going okay. Isn't it the managers job to, hmmm, I don't know....MANAGE?!
