Pros
Working at ABEC has been a good learning experience, especially if you want exposure to the events and exhibitions industry. The work culture is fast-paced and dynamic, which helps you learn how large-scale events are executed. As part of the RSVP department, I had the opportunity to interact with various stakeholders and understand the visitor engagement side of events. The team is supportive, and during show time everyone works together to make things happen. You also get to learn a lot about coordination, planning, and managing data for large events.
Cons
Since it is an events-based company, the workload can increase during exhibition periods, and deadlines can be tight at times. Work-life balance can be a little challenging close to show dates, but that’s generally part of the events industry.
