Pros

Excellent learning experience for beginners, always available overtime, and many benefits like school tuition reimbursement. Many Remote positions became permanent after COVID.

Cons

Stressful, high-volume call center, handling both outbound and inbound calls. When I started, the company culture still had a lovely, traditional, family-style feel, but many of its systems and processes were outdated. While improvements were underway when I left, they were still catching up compared to other call centers.

We appreciate hearing that you have enjoyed the benefits and training AAA has provided to Associates. We do offer mental health support through our employee assistance program as well as individuals can use one of our health plans to find a mental health provider in network in their region, we will share your feedback with our benefits team to ensure those offerings are communicated to Associates.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It appears the location you selected is for California. Our organization does not operate in that region. AAA is made up of multiple independently operated regional clubs. To ensure your review reaches the correct AAA Club, please visit AAA.com and enter your ZIP code to identify your local club. This will help you find the appropriate Glassdoor or Indeed page for your experience.

Pros

Opportunities to travel Good training and education Good coworkers and clientele

Cons

Low hourly rate with promises of monthly bonuses which were impossible goals to meet Frequently understaffed with constant interuptions from time wasting calls and walkins making workload unmanageable and not allowed to stay late or take work home Never closing for even a foot of snow Too many mandatory trainings and after hours and weekend client travel events to host Very stressful and disheartening managing. Personally was frequently listed as top 10 sale of the week for whole AAA club Alliance, built a high end repeat clientele booking 20-50k trips with preferred vendors but still wasn't enough to ever qualify for the bonus. More praise and bonuses given to employees who signed more people up for an AAA visa. In 30 years as a travel agent I never had that volume of sales but I was making $18.50/hr. Less money than 20 years previous and got $1.50 total raise after 6 years. Stayed longer than I should've because of awesome appreciative clientele that AAA makes impossible to take with you thanks to signing them all up with AAA CCs which got them $1000s in vouchers to apply.
