Things will only change if Paul is willing to make the hard decisions and get rid of toxic people especially those in HR - Anonymous employee A+E Networks Employee Review

Pros

From the looks of it, the new President, Paul Buccieri, is very much intent on changing the toxic and hostile culture across the organization. I trust he can get it done if he makes the tough decisions and rids his organization of the people responsible for inciting and supporting such culture.

Cons

Believe the negative reviews. HR and upper management retaliates against people raising concerns about sexism and discrimination. Calling themselves "The People Team" is not just misleading, but is perceived as a joke. Women are told to "suck it up and grow thicker skin" when it comes to complaints against sexist conduct.

Pros

I worked on the Content Creation team which is primarily made up of contract employees. Work is remote, but plenty of opportunities to get together in office and meet other people and socialize afterwards. Everyone on the team is great to work with, there are efficient systems in place and it is a well-oiled machine! I've done two contract rounds with them and am looking forward to my next one.

Cons

No opportunities to convert from contract to staff. There are a lot of things that aren't available to contract employees that are only available to staff (certain meetings, resources, etc). Contract employees are limited to 18 months, and then are required to take a year off.

Pros

Some very nice people; had good benefits although those are being cut back because of financial uncertainty

Cons

Fading industry, frequent layoff cycles with hints of more to come, the company is trying to innovate but some divisions are slow to modernize other than throwing around silly talking points at meetings.
