Pros

Some very interesting work being carried out, which isn’t normally carried out at other places. Part 145 & part 21G & J in the same company can make things easier(when it suits)

Cons

Lots of managers, none of which like to manage anything. Organisation of Aircraft maintenance is left to people on the shop floor. Poor level of pay compared to industry standards. No respite in busy periods. Company overcommit to workloads they can’t deliver. Constantly bonding staff for the slightest course. Company lies to staff about missing pension payments and relocation of main base. Then threatens with being laid off if they don’t agree to new terms. Management do not listen to staff about how to improve things, meaning the same mistakes are made over and over. Staff worry for their own careers because of the work they are asked to do not being compliant or safe.

Pros

Shift pattern is good and allows forward planning, unless someone goes sick or leaves and then you're all scrambling to cover as it's minimum manning.

Cons

Pay simply not up to scratch for pilots, rear crew or engineering. Lack of accountability and ownership from management. Too many managers and not enough managing. Aging fleet of aircraft. Little to no room for advancement.

Pros

Occasional remote working; Monday to Friday.

Cons

Lots of nepotism within the workforce, therefore opportunity for progression is limited. Low to average pay. Most managers are ex military and choose to ignore the mistreatment of colleagues affected by bullying. It's a case of 'put up, shut up or leave.' Poor management and bullying throughout the company. Nice people don't stay! 2Excel Aviation regularly dismiss people at short notice, without prior warning and without a genuine reason. If bullying is reported, all levels of management and HR turn a blind eye and seek to bully the victim out rather than address the problem even if they go above and beyond with their commitment to getting the tasks done and give 110%; they are not interested in the wellbeing of victims of bullying who are made to feel isolated and worthless.
