Pros

Really supportive culture that starts at the top with a CEO that fills the shoes perfectly. The Director of Sales is extremely helpful but not intrusive, allows you the space you need to manage ypur territory as you feel it should. Very acceptable benefits package and a great work-life balance.

Cons

I've been in sales and marketing for many years. This is the forst position I've held that commission isn't an incentive. Ypu make your budget according to your base salary, there's also quarterly bonuses but that's also dependent on the ebbs and flows of the market and other people's capabilities to close deals you start by building the rapport necessary and creating interest directly effect ypur bonus and how impactful it will be. I don't depend on it, in previous sales roles I could just depend on my productivity pertaining to commission, it's set up very differently. I have accepted lower finances for a less hectic culture that's supportive. I'm happy with my sacrifice but I would also appreciate the capacity to earn commissions.

Pros

Strong products Customers are great Coworkers are nice

Cons

This was met with the most hostile workplace I have encountered in my 14 year career. The leadership is out of touch with the realities of the day to day operations. Instead of celebrating their top performers, the mentality is that no-one is doing enough. You will feel squeezed as if our commission and life depended on it, however there is zero merit based financial gain - even as a top performers here.
