Great for subs

Pros

Streamlined process for setting up subs with jobs. I can choose the districts (if they are participating) I want to work for, and which specific schools and grade levels. I have purchased an app that alerts me of jobs when they come up. I can accept or reject the job. Great company that is there if you need them but not overbearing. Decent wage for part-time work. Benefits are offered.

Cons

They have changed their name a few times but it's not a big deal.

Pros

You can pick your jobs and schedule. I think that is pretty much the biggest benefit to the job. You may also get hired at one of the schools you will work for.

Cons

Source4Teachers does not value it's employees. They will always side with the school and they don't care to even hear the other side. A male employee can flirt with a female and she choose not to return the affection. He reports a complaint to Source4Teachers and she is blocked from the school or fired. You report a student who misbehaved. The student can complain and say whatever. No one will ask you a thing but it gets put in the computer. In fact any complaint can be made and put in your file and then shared with every single school in the state. Just like being a pedophile. SLANDER is ok and encouraged. I have been here for two years and I know a lot of sad stories. BEWARE

Pros

Flexibility in accepting assignments. Source4Teachers uses the AESOP system, which makes scheduling a breeze. An often heard benefit is that substitute positions are a nice filler for when you're in-between jobs. It's also a great way to experience the classroom before you make that large investment in education towards teacher certification.

Cons

I believe the core issue with Sources4Teachers is that they are growing too fast. They often boast of the number of school systems they've added in the past year. This is not necessarily a good thing. Because of this, the level of organization, employee development, communication and HR procedures are not keeping pace, and substitutes know this.
