Morale is significantly impacted by a culture of negativity, poor planning, and constant last-minute decision-making. Teams are often left trying to deliver commitments without the resources, preparation, or strategic direction needed to succeed. The team itself is not the problem the biggest challenge is the quality of leadership within this department. Management relies on pressure, criticism, and fear rather than clear strategy, communication, support, and empowerment. As a certified B Corp organisation, the company publicly commits to high standards relating to its people, culture, and employee wellbeing. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect these values. There appears to be a significant disconnect between the principles promoted externally and the day-to-day reality experienced by employees. Employee wellbeing, psychological safety, and constructive feedback do not appear to be prioritised, and an objective review of people practices against B Corp standards would likely identify clear areas for improvement.
