Pros

All of these Pros and Cons depends on your Division, Role, Manager, and Co-Workers (there are people that work/have worked at the company that will give honest 5 star reviews and mean it, It just depends on where you end up): Many of the people share the same interests, and you can make some good friends there. Industry has great potential, it is Needed/Required in most companies cases. The Industry and Company are Growing quickly, and potentially offer job opportunities in the future.. Is great for the environment. CEO's are good, lots of ideas, and I believe are actually trying to make their employees lives better. Many benefits for the employees (also seek Cons): Profit Sharing Employee Lunches and Trips Employee growth plan Learning and Development Opportunities

Cons

As mentioned in the Pros, the Cons depends on your Division, Role, Manager, and Co-Workers. (There are many employees that work/have worked at Dynamic that are not happy, and would give 1 and 2 star reviews, but are to worried to speak up, or are hoping for a change). Nepotism There is nepotism between friends. Being such a small company there are quite a few people that grew up / went to school with each other, and if you are not part of that group, it is harder to make ways and grow with the company. Also, it is hard to give an honest opinion and input to your coworkers and supervisors in meetings and reviews when you don't know if it will stay between you and them. No Accountability No-one wanted to accept responsibility when things went wrong. It was pass the buck onto the next person or group. Employee Growth Plan Looks good on paper, but when the managers run through the motion, and don't guide you, or help you grow, you are on your own. Factor that in with the nepotism that happens it is a recipe for disaster. Under qualified Executive team Granted, some of the Executives at the company do work their butts off, and are helping it grow and deserve recognition, but some of the new employees that were hired on, have had more experience than the VPs they were working under. Many of the decisions that were made didn't seem thought out, and were rushed. Some management and executives would lead by example while others would not. Growing in all the wrong places With more and more material coming through the doors, you would expect to see an expansion for your every day workers right? Not at Dynamic. Take a look at all open positions for dynamic. There are quite a few upper end positions. Growing the "top"/executive team might help you 10-15 years from now but in the mean time, it is killing overhead and PROFIT, while the "bottom" is suffering and getting burnt out. (I cant count how many positions my past coworkers had applied for only to be brushed off for someone with a slightly better resume or some sort of "connection". At the same time some upper positions changed titles and roles multiple times, "to better suit the organization".) Pay The pay was in my opinion drastically below average for what was expected from you. Every employee review, you will get the "standard cost of living" pay increase, with the promise of an opportunity for more next time, (but..."you also need to factor in profit sharing to your pay") (FYI I was told by supervisors that I was doing a great job, and going above and beyond what was expected of me. In my eyes, I was working as hard as I could, taking on new tasks and responsibilities and deserved and above "standard" pay increase) Profit Sharing Yes getting extra income above and beyond your regular pay is great, BUT... They over sell the idea of profit sharing and justify lower base pay/salary because of it.

Your feedback and candor is welcome, and certainly warrants a thoughtful response. First, I’m sorry to hear that your overall experience was disappointing. We value each and every team member and truly believe that our team members are the ones who make Dynamic a great place to work. With that, we believe that giving back to team members through Individual Growth Plans, Profit Sharing, Team Lunches, Learning & Development and Comprehensive Benefits are part of living our mission. Decisions are made with our mission in mind, in making sure that in all things we are enabling our Team Members to better themselves, their families and others. Growing at 30+% annually has its challenges, and one of them is the balance in hiring internal talent for leadership opportunities vs external talent. Through succession planning, it is our goal to have an even larger portion of those positions filled with internal talent, and we believe we are on the right track to get there. Regarding your feedback on nepotism, accountability, employee growth plans, the executive team, growth, pay and profit sharing; I assure you that we, like all companies, are always looking for areas of improvement and as a result will continually work on educating our team members, supervisors and managers on the philosophies behind the above mentioned areas. We put forth a great deal of time and consideration into establishing compensation for each role, and continue our ongoing evaluation of our compensation offerings ensuring our team members are not only compensated fairly, but well taken care of. Within your advice for management section, you suggested that there may have been fabricated reviews. Integrity is our most highly regarded Core Value; I can assure you that reviews have not been fabricated. We have, and will continue to seek out reviews from team members like you in order to provide a true and transparent view of Dynamic Recycling. As you mentioned in your first paragraph, there are many honest team members who would provide a 5 star rating, and mean it. We understand that each team member is unique and has different experiences. We encourage all team members to provide open and honest feedback and will not tolerate backlash to those who are willing to provide constructive feedback. If there is one thing that I can offer in parting, it is that “no matter how hard things were, tomorrow’s a fresh opportunity to make it better.” Always keep in mind that each person contributes to the success of their position, team, division and company – make sure you make it something great!

Too many people think they're the boss. 'Too many chiefs not enough Indians' people who have no idea how to do your job wants to run their mouth about what you should do.. pay is average, benefits suck.

We appreciate your feedback and strive to continuously challenge ourselves to grow and make positive improvements. Growing at 30%+ year over year has some challenges, one of which is the requirement of growth with constant change. We are building out policies and procedures that will scale with our growth, but are still on our journey to completion. I’m disappointed to hear that you do not find our benefits plans as lucrative as others; we carefully select our benefit plans based on feedback from team members to make sure we are providing the benefits they value most at a competitive cost. Additionally, we make every effort to ensure that we provide benefits to our team members that assist them be the best they can be, even outside our comprehensive health and welfare benefit package such as tuition reimbursement, personal financial literacy tools, paid parental leave and many more.

Pros

3 weeks PTO first year, 4 weeks 2nd year. 4 day workweek for production with 3 day weekends. Free gym (outdated equipment), profit sharing quarterly, performance reviews every 6 months

Cons

Document everything! Each review the company will attempt to dock you for a late clock-in and will stand by it unless you can prove it. Reporting management to HR will put a target on your back. Management does not trust employees and has unethical business practices. You will be micromanaged. Management is abusive. Mostly outside hires, chances of getting promoted to a worthwhile position are slim to none. Discriminates against workers in protected classes, pushes employees out after 2 years, makes up reasons to terminate good workers. Forced to sign write-ups that are without basis and untruthful. Operations managers don't know how to create a shortcut on their desktop let alone relate in a healthy way to their employees.

We are disappointed to see that you would not recommend Dynamic. We pride ourselves on being a people-first company, which is specifically called out in our mission statement, “We put people first and empower our team members to better themselves, their families, and others.” In addition, one of our core values is Serve with Love, which is treating others with respect and kindness. Our People Operations team is committed to creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for our team members to bring forward concerns they have. Any feedback, especially relating to unfair treatment, is thoroughly investigated and retaliation is absolutely not tolerated. We recognize that it is easy to just say these things, so we wanted to provide some objective information about Dynamic to back up our words, as your experience seems unique from what others have experienced. Dynamic just certified in October as a Great Place to Work for the 6th consecutive year. This certification is awarded by independent analysts at Great Place to Work and is based on extensive ratings provided by team members in anonymous survey feedback. Consistently, Dynamic’s top scoring areas are in people being treated fairly regardless of their personal demographics, and that people are made to feel welcome at Dynamic. These questions have consistently scored in the 90th percentile. Our internal promotion rate is extremely healthy at 62% year to date, and we're proud that for a growing 15-year-old business, our team members have been with us on average for 3.7 years, with over 60% of our team having been with Dynamic for more than 2 years. We are sorry that your experience was an outlier from others. We welcome a further conversation regarding any concerns you have that we may not be aware of. Please feel free to reach out to one of our People Operations Business Partners, or our Director of People Operations if you are interested in discussing further.
