Great People-Terrible Upper Management

Pros

The employees are really wonderful people.

Cons

Upper management is terrible, not to be confused with department managers. We have one person in upper management, who is the vice president, partner and HR. How anyone can expect a company to flow efficiently with one person in charge of everything, is beyond many of us. The "cliquey" vibe that has been mentioned is indeed true. That vibe comes from upper management, who blatantly shows favoritism towards certain employees, and lets not forget the family members that she manages. Clearly Driven Local has never heard of nepotism! And the last two reviews, were written by someone in upper management, because they rather write fake reviews than try to fix the issues within their company. There are no more summer hours, those were taken away. In addition to the summer hours being taken away we are forced to work a longer work week. If you are liked you get compensated well, other than that its as if they pull a number out of hat and that's how your pay is decided.

Pros

I'm having a hard time understanding the negativity in a few of these reviews. I feel extremely fortunate to be working with Driven Local and truly appreciate the great company culture. All employees are appreciated, respected, and cared for. There is an understood open door policy between upper management and all DL employees. I have never heard of (or worked for) a company that shows more appreciation for their employees through company outings, stocked snack rooms, frequent praise/congratulations call out emails, etc. The flexible hours policy is wonderful, and allows for a great work/life balance.

Cons

The current office set up is tight, but this is being rectified by an office move.

Pros

-Flexibility with schedule and working from home -Snacks

Cons

So many to list I am not sure where to begin. Also, don't believe the phony great reviews done by management. -Management is sneaky and does things behind your back so you never feel secure about your job. -A lot of immaturity and talking amongst employees and managers who are friends, leading to unfair treatment of other employees. -Way too much work piled on to each person/Low compensation for work and hours put in. -Only friends of management feels safe and secure in their job and get promoted. Don't fall for the initial nonsense about tons of free snacks and events and swag, this company will make you wish you ran for the hills.
