Pros

The team is very positive and I am learning so much. The work is challenging but I enjoy learning different aspects of research. They have taught me how to critical think and look deeper into my ideas and work when I have questions. I love to have a list and check things off. They always are encouraging a work/life balance. They are a family run company so they always have looked out and supported employees when we need them. They are always giving us awesome swag, little gifts or lunch to show they care and support us on busy days.

Cons

We have several sites and I don't always get to work with my favorite co-workers. :)

Pros

Management is dedicated and more than happy to listen. Lots of room to learn especially if new to the field. Doctors and other staff are easy to work with if your work is quality. Other coordinators are more than willing to help you out. Overall a very good company with only some of the normal tropes of employment. You will work but will be recognized for it. Note: Does hiring mostly on whether or not they think you will be a good addition to the team, not experience or education. Although those are always preferred.

Cons

Be prepared to wear all of the hats. As a coordination you will do just about everything for your site/location. Recruitment, regulatory, subject visits, communication with sponsors, data management. I do not view this as a bad thing since it gives you a lot of autonomy and they give you the freedom to manage your site for the most part but I know that many people will shy away from the work load. Will work 40+ a week with out a doubt if you want to be successful. Only things that could definitely improve are the PTO and Benefits. Benefits are expensive while they do have a good carrier. PTO is based on an hourly structure even though nearly all employees are salaried, and you don’t get much at all the first few years.

Pros

DocTrials is a small company so you really have a voice and feel like your opinions matter to management. If you have an idea, people are happy to let you try and see if it will work. There is opportunity to do a lot of different things and wear a lot of hats. You can't get bored because there is so much to keep you busy.

Cons

I can't think of anything I would consider a con, but I do think there is a certain type of person that is cut out for working there. You have a lot of autonomy and are expected to manage your sites, studies, and schedule, which can be a lot to juggle, if you're not good at creating your own structure.
