Pros

None. Don’t believe any of the positive reviews; they’re all written by employees being threatened by management.

Cons

Toxic work culture, lack of support given to employees, long hours, huge workloads, unrealistic expectations, hostile managers, low pay, etc. Working here should be the last thing you ever do.

A Dysfunctional Workplace Environment

Pros

introduction of regular food vans

Cons

Working here was a disheartening experience due to its toxic work culture and incompetent management The manager's boastful attitude towards micromanaging was not only detrimental to productivity but also created an oppressive atmosphere where employees felt suffocated and undervalued. Additionally, the frequent angry messages from managers threatening to withhold bonuses added unnecessary stress and anxiety to the work environment. Witnessing the manager walk off to cry during stressful situations was not only unprofessional but also highlighted the lack of effective leadership and conflict resolution skills within the management team. The rampant office gossip and backstabbing further eroded any sense of trust and camaraderie among colleagues. The CEO's occasional outbursts of shouting and swearing only added to the already toxic atmosphere, creating a hostile work environment. The absence of clear communication about new processes and procedures added to the confusion and frustration, making it difficult to meet expectations. Despite the overwhelming workload, requests for additional staff were met with indifference and denial, demonstrating a lack of concern for employee well-being and professional development. High turnover of staff.

Pros

Fair wages and free fish and chips once a month.

Cons

Almost every aspect of this company is a con, from the incredibly toxic culture, to treatment of clients, debtors and employees that I found to be deeply unprofessional and uncomfortable to be associated with. The lack of consistency and retention within the marketing dept is a damning reflection of senior management team. The weekly marketing meetings are an opportunity for your to be berated by your seniors and criticised for work you produced on top of and outside of your remit, without the support or resources needed from those same colleagues. Once you add up all of the extra work piled onto you, the micromanaging, the scapegoating - the pay doesn't seem that fair at all. At the end of day, working for a company like DCBL/DCB Legal is a wage. But if you value your time, your mental health and your expertise, I would strongly suggest that you search for a company that values it's employees, where you can contribute positively, rather contribute to a workplace culture that, in my experience, was demoralising and at odds with my values.

Pros

None at all. It’s terrible here.

Cons

I don’t recommend working for Direct Collection Bailiffs because it’s terrible here. This company has an awful culture and work environment. Employees often get insulted and verbally abused by the leadership, and it’s obvious that the leaders here look down on us. No one deserves to be treated like trash.
