Pros

I've been working in engineering for several years. I've enjoyed working with my colleagues, people are supportive in general. Requests from management are reasonable, they understand your personal need and they have been understanding when unexpected personal need arises. The pay is above average and workload is reasonable.

Cons

The industry segment the company competes in is not super growth so there's somewhat limited upside. And it's in the enterprise market so less exciting than consumer space if you wanna all the headlines. Being said that, the company is on track to IPO so things are not bad at all.

Pros

- Great Space - Good Software, but getting dated and the space is being eaten by other security domains - Good entry to Sales for folks looking to break into the industry (SMB/Inside with no previous experience) - Marketing has done a phenomenal job, both in brand recognition and digital marketing in general

Cons

Where do I start? First - Notice how the 5 star reviews go in waves, followed by a string of negative reviews. Thats because management deletes negative comments and manipulates glassdoor reviews by forcing (sorry, STRONGLY suggesting) current employees, who are usually right out of college (and dont know any any better) to place 5 star reviews.. Seriously, go look. Its pretty obvious. Management uses Fear not Incentives - Stress Levels are well beyond acceptable limits for the total comp: -All stick, no carrot... Management is absolutely miserable to work with. Ever heard of enterprise reps with cold call metric requirements? How about the constant feeling of you losing your job if you dont make enough calls this quarter? What about the dread of seeing your colleagues churn around you with a complete lack of transparency? What about management telling/promising one thing, but delivering another? One team had 8/10 reps churn in 12 months... thats a management problem, top down. Lack of Dignity, Respect and Compassion - You're completely disposable in sales -The entire organization can be summed up easily: Working at Thycotic is like working at an organization that says your family, but only as a means to an end. The only objective management has is to exit, either by sale or by IPO and you are a means to an end... period. Don't go into this thinking they care, they don't. Churn low paid talent constantly, have middle management micromanage everything they do and when they leave, finish the sale yourself and start the process over. Process Management is completely broken and you're peers hate their job as much as you do. - You're in sales, you need others to help you move the deal alone. Finance actually processing orders? Well, when you have a 100m company with 2 people in finance and you're processing EVERY order on the first day of the quarter? Good luck! The company is so woefully understaffed and underpaid the only comparison I can make is like trying to expedite your License renewal. If you like going to the DMV, then you will love working with PS & finance, because they simply do not care if your order gets processed or your customer actually gets deployed.
