Thank you for helping us improve! We are trying hard in each of the four areas you stated in your “Pros”.
Regarding the “Cons”, we consider employee safety as our most important undertaking. The recent DFW weather event is a prime example.
As we realized the weather was potentially turning bad, we sent everyone home and closed the properties (while other businesses finished out the day). For the next two days, our offices remained closed out of concern for our employees' and customers' safety. We did pay our employees as though it was a normal work day, not requiring anyone to use their PTO. On the 4th day, as the weather began warming up and they forecasted rising temperatures throughout the day, we asked everyone that could safely do so to come in to re-open our offices. While the majority of our folks came in, we supported and understood the couple of employees who couldn’t or didn’t feel comfortable coming to work. And yes, we still paid those folks for the entire day. I will say again, it is our paramount concern today and tomorrow for our folk's safety!
Lastly, regarding empathy and compassion, the preceding paragraph speaks volumes…
