Successful start ups always have lessons to teach
Most of the employees are very nice and helpful.

I would given my experience here a “meh,” but it sounds like things have gotten awful there. My connections who didn’t leave have complained to me with no positives.
The new CEO seems to not care at all about his employees, and I’m certain there is no one that couldn’t find a better place to work.
People are leaving (or getting fired) in droves, don’t be one of them!
