From the beginning of when I was hired to when I left there was no work. The company lost its only contract right before I joined, they had no cash flow, and paychecks stopped arriving entirely.
The execs stopped coming into the office and kept having secret meetings in the parking lot instead, and tried to hide all information from us. The fact that we lost the contract was even kept hidden. We only found out because one of our engineers had their Github access revoked from the project repo.
They even stopped paying the office lease without notifying us. We came in one day and they had taken the Wifi router away with them, and the building's leasing agents were busy showing the the space to potential clients.
All the while they kept promising us that our paychecks would be arriving "soon" and that they were in the final stages of securing another contract. They essentially held us hostage by hiring only new coding bootcamp grads who were just starting our careers, counting on the fact that we would have an even harder time finding another job. After the fact, I can see that they didn't just lay us off because they didn't want to pay for unemployment benefits.
As the weeks dragged on, they started firing everyone who tried to book meetings with them or who asked for their paychecks directly.
A word of advice: When I interviewed here there were already some negative Glassdoor reviews. When I asked about them, I was assured that things had changed a lot and they were a completely different company now. I'm sure they would say the same to a potential new hire about this review.
