Pros

The building and location are nice.

Cons

Cold snobby clique of old timer staff, a real boys club. Very old fashioned culture where you cannot make eye contact with board members or speak to anyone above your level in the hierarchy. Every dept seems understaffed meaning employees need to work horribly long hours to stay on top of their workload. Personally, I was working an average of 60 hrs per week when work done at home was included. Cant recall ever once being thanked for it. Many managers in this company seem to be over worked and stressed, they really seem to be struggling and are taking their stress levels out on staff. Even when management have been proven wrong in their outbursts no apology will be forth coming. Extremely corporate culture with no natural conversations between anyone, feels incredibly fake and adds to the coldness. It is fear of punishment and being looked down on by the established club that leads to this. The upper layers of the hierarchy love to make power plays, calling you to their desk for something, then making you stand there and wait for ages before they will acknowledge you. Their 10 min chat about the weekends rugby with other managers is more important. They really know how to make a person feel small.
