Pros
Flexible, simple way to get hours for licensure, provide free supervision (unpaid for the supervisee), provide access to free CEUs, many clients on the waitlist, so if you are clear about your areas of strengths, therapists should be able to create a caseload that is reflective of their own area of expertise (this does require work on the therapist's part to be very clear, as once a client is put on a caseload, it is very difficult to find them a referral if it does not match the therapist's skillset).
Cons
There is a lack of strong clinical leadership, there is significant turnover of the medical directors, and often not enough support. The communication between administration teams and clinical staff is often challenging and unless there is an emergency, it is difficult to get a response from the clinical leadership.
