      Friendly co-workers, and.....yeah that's all.

      Save your time, save your energy, save your talent and WORK ELSEWHERE. This company's turnover rate is extremely high: Within 2 months, I saw 9 of my colleagues get fired/leave. Most of our team members only lasted a few short months, and after that they're either FIRED or they just can't take it anymore so they QUIT. Zero work-life balance as they expect you to still work and answer your phone/email well after office hours, sometimes on weekends and public holidays too. No prospect for growth either as you'll forever be stuck at the same position, doing the same job, at the same salary. They'll look for excuses to fire you and then badmouth you to your next employer. No, this company's HQ is not in Australia, it's in Malaysia. No, your colleagues are not "from all over the world", they're mostly Malaysians. All the fancy things they claim here or on Jobstreet/LinkedIn/elsewhere is mostly false to lure you into working for them. Wait for a company that truly cares for you, because Comfort Works isn't it. I'll give this company 0 star if I could.

We are not used to receiving one-star reviews so we are not happy that your experience working here has been unsatisfactory and it means that in your case, we have failed somewhere along the line. You are correct- there has been a sudden influx of people departing the company. Growing from an 8 man "family-run" startup to a 40 person "performance-based team" with a daring vision in 3 months is like building a car while driving it - in the dark - while the road is on fire. While some people rallied around the mission to disrupt and innovate - some have decided that this may not be the right fit/place for them- and that's OK! Upward mobility and transparency is a key focus for us, and we are working on how to better inform employees on career trajectory and what it takes to get promoted/advance at CW. We're committed to rolling out training programs that will help our managers and team to grow to be the best leaders/specialist they can be. We also have some openings for more senior members to help us gain experience in scaling, but I do stand behind the people here who add a lot of value and bringing us all to the next mile. The best objective testimonial to the product and our amazing team success (besides some growing pains) is our customer happiness, success, repeat buyers and facebook/google reviews. All in, I'm sorry we let you down. We are taking your feedback and addressing all the places we missed in delivering a great experience for you ...       You'll Get To Learn How To Spot Hidden Red Flags

      Pros

      Write a fake positive review to boost Glassdoor rating or you won't pass your probation. Discover new buzzwords everyday from your transformational leadership which doesn't know what they are doing. Find your own direction because your leaders don't know what they want or have any direction. Get COVID fast so that everyone can go back to working in office. Work hard to make company profits in USD and get your small pay in ringgit without bonus. See the worst parts of a startup / corporate / family business all combined

      Working hours are very flexible until you have no working life balance. But for other people it is very good, they can go missing whenever they like. You must be flexible because it is a startup. But when you need them to be flexible then it is a corporate and they can only follow proper rules and processes. It is a family business so only the family gets to succeed and grow. If you are not part of them then you can say goodbye to any progress in your career. Good news, all your leaders are only concerned with trying to become part of the family. If you work hard or you don't work hard it doesn't matter, because you will not be rewarded.

      We thank you for taking time to write this review. It must have taken a lot of effort to list down all that you have written. However, we also note that much of what was written was based on emotions and not hard facts, thus rendering much of it untrue. Whilst we agree that as a company, we are still progressing and setting the building blocks in place to make it a great place to work and learn, there may have been some drop offs which we are working to rectify. What surprises us more is the fact that you have remained in our employment for 2 years despite the negative things that you have written. which makes us wonder whether the review was written at the spur of a moment.       Comfort Works, until it doesn't.

      Pros

      - Higher than average salary rates for some roles. - Great perks (plenty of group activities, food and your own laptop budget upon confirmation) - Great office space (though there's insufficient parking in a residential area). Also close to an MRT station. - HR tries their best to take care of the employees (Covid kits, goodies etc) - Excellent co-workers.

      Cons

      Please note that most of the below are from a CX agent's experience. Things may be vastly different in other teams. - Biased higher-ups (CX). - Borderlining on fake advertising. They pull in new recruits and customers by marketing how Australian they are but the only thing Australian are the founders' accents. Everything else? Based in Malaysia or China. - Promoted as an inclusive Company embracing introverts, extroverts, cat people, dog people etc, but honestly you're singled out and cast aside if you're not 'in'. They don't exactly respect your decisions if you don't wish to join in on activities (be ready for a lot of 'why's and 'you wont be noticed this way') - No work-life balance. None whatsoever for a CX role. CX employees are still expected to report to work to process orders on public holidays because they're still stuck on manual processing. You don't get a lot public holidays off but these are replaced during the X'mas week. However, your leads will ask you to split teams to take turns during your break. You'll also be expected to take on extra quarterly projects or help with other teams on top of your daily workload. If you don't, you'd just be overlooked or inadvertently deemed as underperforming. Most alarmingly: the founder does not believe in work-life balance and believes that if we love our job, it is essentially irrelevant (source: himself during a Townhall). He also reckons everyone should get Covid so we can resume normalcy. - Extremely messy, in every way. Internal information to do your job can be scattered everywhere, and if you're new you'd be on a wild goose chase (there is also no clear training structure to help you in CX). Performance reviews and appraisals have no clear systems or timelines. One can chalk it down to this being due to the fact that Comfort Works is a start-up, perhaps.
