Pros

... reasonable level of flexibility. Awards nights are pretty good. Lots of awesome coworkers that become good friends. I've got to be honest there isn't much positive to be said sadly.

Cons

Collection House utterly mistreats its employees. The turnover rate is shocking. Very few tenured staff. Managers bully staff and you're constantly made to feel like you're underperforming - which just isn't true. Hr doesnt handle bullying within the workplace at all. Kitchen supplies are never replaced on time. Expectations for employee performance are unreasonable. Totally underpaid and overworked. No more bonuses. Break times are a joke and employees aren't trusted to manage themselves by any means. The micromanaging is just appalling. By all means work here if you want to be unappreciated, mistreated and bullied by aweful managers that don't know how to do their job.

Pros

Great teams to work with, great atmosphere, good awards nights - Managers are pretty good at what they do and are happy to assist with your enquiries and do support you in your roles and developments + consistent training with training managers. Site manager is there on hand ready to assist, one site manager per office so can usually get matters addressed to him/her if urgent. Collection House is an ethical company to work for, work & life balance is good since they've different options in terms of start and finish times as well as having every second Friday off based on a 9-day fortnight roster.

Cons

Consistent changes made to bonuses, structures and privacy & security. Some managers abide by different policies than to the ones that are set out.

Pros

I have worked at CLH for 4 years and it used to be a fantastic work culture with pleasant colleagues and nice office environment. Since the new CEO was appointed, the staff moral has been severely affected and Company cost cutting has resulted in job losses and restructuring of employment contracts - ie: benefits withdrawn and as a result many long term, experienced staff have resigned. The staff turnover is really high - not many people last much more than 12 -24 months.

Cons

The KPI's are unrealistic and bonuses hard to achieve. They regularly tweak the goalposts to ensure you can't reach your goals. You are micromanaged by Team Leaders who are not capable of people managing as they are often too young and inexperienced. It also states on their job ads, must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident to apply? That is false, because 80% of staff are here on guest visas or 457 visas. Not many Australians at all which I think is wrong. They will hide the truth in many ways, change your contact, withhold bonuses and annual pay incentives and this never gets questioned. Low salary for the high level of stress you have to endure. Apart from a few lovely work colleagues, this Company does not value their employees and you are treated like a number - no reward for loyalty.
