Pros

Zero. Genuinely only the free barista and beer tap in the We Work office.

Cons

Nothing remotely normal or positive about this 'company'. I was getting warning signs within my very first hour of work and chose to ignore the red flags until it was too late. Please for your own mental health, and reputation, do not make the same mistake and apply to work here. CEO’s are manipulative, disrespectful, and inappropriate. Meetings with them are completely informal, with them often ignoring what you have to say, leaving the room, arguing, sitting on their phones when you talk etc. They have a very bad reputation within the industry, with recruiters blacklisting and refusing to hire for them. Most employees do not last longer than six months. They have no idea what work/ life balance is (as well as not knowing how to run a successful company). In the short time i was there here are just some of the things i witnessed/ experienced: - messaging at all hours of the night and morning (outside of work) - bullying and harassment (being made redundant, rehired, and made redundant again within 3 days with no valid reason, no probation checks, NOTHING). - CEO’s describing the company as 'a complete shambles, with an obvious toxic culture', but doing nothing to resolve it - staff being paid below london living wage (but the company has the money to hire a bubble man for an event for thousands of pounds) - 5 resignations within 2 months (around 15 people in the whole company just for reference) turnover rate speaks for itself - greenwashing (no interest in climate, only stealing money from sponsors) - zero career progression opportunities - only given you respect if you've had private level education - almost impossible to get time off approved - even when you’re asking to look after a family member post surgery. If you do get it off you’ll still be expected to work during booked and approved holiday Made to feel guilty for taking time off work when unwell. I felt so bad asking for time off i worked with severe food poisoning, CEO then accused me of not working at all when i missed one call due to me vomiting in the bathroom. Another day CEO again had a go as i blocked off time in my calendar for a hospital appt that i had informed the team about weeks before and it had been approved. Been seeing a therapist since working here due to the severe anxiety it gave me, as well as the fact it left me with zero confidence which has affected my everyday life and new role.

Pros

Some of the team are wonderful people

Cons

The senior leadership team have created an environment so toxic that this atmosphere alone is probably contributing to greenhouse gasses. Leadership team treat staff with a level of contempt I’ve never seen or experienced anywhere else. Micromanagement at every level results in terrible and demoralising working conditions. Staff are routinely blamed for these failures that stem from the top resulting in a terrible culture. Team morale and mental health is shockingly bad. Climate Action cosplays as an NGO though it is a “mission driven” business. What this “mission” seems to be is profit above anything else. The most morally corrupt and dubious polluters are embraced with open arms so long as they part with their money. This profit above all else approach doesn’t seem to trickle down to wages or benefits (most of which don’t actually exist). There is no training, no pathways to career development, nothing good to find here.

Pros

The team are nice. I think it's trauma bonding, but still.

Cons

Management in this company is the most toxic group of people I have ever met. And I worked in hospitality for a while. Advancement in this company will not happen; they refuse to let anyone take on any kind of authority, at the same time they refuse to listen to advice from the experts they hire. It's a dead-end company, a cul-de-sac career experience that will teach no nothing but how to school your face not to openly display your bafflement. They will try to trick you at every turn. They will act shocked and sad when you call them out on it. They will gaslight you and come out with what at a glance sounds reasonable, but upon future examination is utterly ridiculous.
