Pros

Some really nice and helpful people work there. Equipment is pretty new and maintenance of your equipment is essentially left up to you.

Cons

CHES is a company that is consumed by generating profit. Their strategy for doing so is consuming their competitors. They are growing so quickly their business is a shambles. It does not matter the location, chances are the company needs to hire people. The turnover of workers is extraordinary. Not surprising if you ask me, I have been to a bunch of their hubs and they are all the same; disorganized messes. The company’s goal is to grow from a 5 billion dollar business to 10 billion in the next five years. That is all they care about. That, and keeping the company stockholders happy. I would steer clear of the place if I were you. I worked for CHES for about three months in National Transportation as an over the road driver. It was a disaster from day one. In retrospect I have no idea why I stayed there as long as I did. On my first day physically on the job I was warned. Not 30 seconds after meeting my driver trainer he told me what to expect. My GM he told me was about as useful as teats on a bull. He only had his job because his brother was the VP of the division. He and another driver who was with him both told me not to expect to get my calls answered and I best learn how to figure things out myself. They were not wrong. My GM was supposed to set up my runs in the company driver app for me. He rarely did so. I would have to ask people at the facility I was at to help me and they would often get mad about that. I had one lady say to me; “that idiot should have been fired years ago, it is a disgrace, if it was anybody else they would be gone!” At the Spring Grove, Ohio facility several of the workers there told me stories about my GM from the days he worked there. It seems he was always an incompetent clown. His crowning achievement at Spring Grove was climbing up the smoke stack there and urinating into it. It seems he was so proud of this feat, he did it several times. His idiotic antics at SG are legendary and yet this is a person who CHES sees as management material! I started this review out by saying how the company is all about profit and it is, but only when it does not get in the way of good old fashioned nepotism. I would love to know what the company shareholders think of that! For the record I posted a similar review of my experience at CHES on Indeed. It was removed. An honest review of a really bad experience of employee/management relations. Obviously with that said, I would not take reviews on Indeed as representative of facts. Hopefully this site wants more open transparent reviews and not censorship.
