Pros

No matter how stressful your day is, you understand what you're doing is for the greater good. Everyone is in it together, and wants to make sure you succeed, because when you do, the whole org does. When work life/ home life start to mix, it's hard to be upset because you are working toward a greater good. The work space is beautiful and huge and located very close to transit.

Cons

Some people are a little sectioned off from what's going on. The atmosphere is quiet and not super friendly all of the time.

Positive social mission, friendly coworkers, nice office

Cons

Long work hours with few breaks, culture of workaholism, expectation of dealing with things at all hours of the day and on weekends.

Pros

They treat you well and have great benefits but compensation is only okay. The work you do at CEL is supporting really amazing movements - the organizations you work with are inspiring and actually affecting change. Work with some really great people.

Cons

Upper management seems to be the only opinion that gets heard. High staff turnover rate and direction of company is constantly changing.
