Having moved on to a new role elsewhere, I can genuinely say my experience at Chess ICT was mainly positive, and this is as impartial a review as you’ll get, if looking to work here. I worked at Chess ICT on a 9 month maternity cover contract, and during that time, I became pregnant myself. The company’s support was exceptional they informed me of rights I hadn’t even been aware of and ensured I was 100% supported throughout. One of the standout aspects of Chess ICT is their People Team not your typical HR department. They truly care about employee wellbeing and go beyond what you’d expect in fostering a supportive and engaged workforce. I’ve never worked anywhere with a People Team so committed to the wellbeing of their staff. That being said, Chess ICT is fast paced and demands hard work. It’s an environment suited to those who can keep up with a dynamic workload and thrive under pressure. From my perspective, many of the negative reviews seem to come from individuals who struggled with the pace. If you're driven, adaptable, and ready to work hard, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to succeed here.
