Pros

High profile celebrities, everyone leaves at 5

Cons

Management is corrupt. The CEO curses a lot, secretly toxic while seemingly advocating for a good cause

Some good some bad

Pros

Dress code is business casual. You get to travel sometimes. The CEO is really nice and gets to know the staff. He always took the time to personally thank staff for their hard work and not just senior management. Sometimes you get to see celebrities. PTO is generous and flexible. Benefits are good and they offer tuition reimbursement. Events are fun for the most part. You get mileage reimbursement. Staff usually got along very well. Remote work is sometimes an option. We had to request it but it was almost always approved. Ask about this in your interview if it's something important to you. Diversity in staff and the board is pretty good, seems to be getting better too.

Cons

Senior management and admin is very disorganized. They set a lot of rules for the company and don't follow the rules themself. HR tends to gossip a lot and they took most complaints personally. It was hard to trust them Turnover is very high in most departments. There is not much room for growth Some supervisors are good but some stay in their office and leave you to your own devices. Or some are loud with their team and distract the rest of the office. All departments help at events but only the event team get benefits of stuff like hotel stays. Event staff usually got the next day off or shortened hours after an event while everyone else had to work normal hours. Admin tried to keep that a secret but it was obvious when none of them came in the next day after most events or we were told they were "working from home" It's obvious admin leaves positive reviews of the company on job websites to make themselves look good

Great Stepping Stone

Pros

Administration invests in your professional growth and you learn a lot quickly. Health benefits are good. Some supervisors allow hybrid remote/office work. Hiring managers/administration are aware of and dedicated to creating a more diverse staff/board of directors in terms of race and gender (they're still getting there) Overall a really great stepping stone for young professionals.

Cons

Frequent "toxic positivity" High turnover, especially on program team. It's a small organization which can be good for networking but there isn't much room for growth. No overtime pay for salaried employees.
