      RACISM IS RAMPANT AT BROADLY

      UNLIMITED PTO LOL! Broadly can be great if they stay true to the Culture theyve written about.

      GOOGLE REVIEWS I worked @ BROADLY and frankly loved the company. I broke multiple SALES RECORDS while there and was celebrated continuously. It was nothing for me to work 7 days per week 10 hrs per day. My problems there began when I very professionally and politely began to challenge BROADLY concerning the Diverse Culture they purport to have. Broadly has about 70 Account Executives and they now only have about 4 African American Account Executives. They are a vastly predominantly CAUCASIAN organization. They have NO African American Managers and NO African American Executives. This company has existed for 6 years and they’re corporately based in Oakland CA and they have an office in Baltimore MD. They do NOT reflect the cities they do business in at all. Once they discovered I was NOT going to back down and allow them to sweep this gross behavior under the rug they decided to terminate me. They said they fired me because I did NOT adhere to the attendance policy. However, I have electronic records that say otherwise. EVERY PTO Day I took was approved by management. This last PTO Day I took was a result of a 16yr old boy in my church that I PASTOR being murdered on the streets of SE Washington DC. I was up all night serving the broken hearted family and in the morning very naturally I was exhausted. They are some of the most racist people I’ve ever professionally encountered.

      For the most part, people were really great.

      Cons

      Where to even start.... There was a lot of favoritism when it came to the company. The CEO has his favorites (all men) and will always praise them for their hard work when there are people who work just as hard, if not harder to make money for the company. They make you work weekends (even though they say it's voluntary), and if you don't you're seen as a bad worker. They dangle your job in front of you constantly. CEO walks around with bags of cash and AmEx gift cards trying to bribe the workers to hustle. This office is full of people who love a drink..... including the CEO. Borderline illegal practices with making people work overtime without paying them overtime but will do lavish offsites with funded money. And sales are hard because they are other companies offering the same type of product that are more advanced and cost less.

      Free lunch on Tuesdays is great. Close to bart which is a great incentive and I do very much like that we have some snacks available.

      I have quite a few frustrations and most of the sales team feels the same. For starters we have been offered gift cards on a few occasions by recruiting for leaving good reviews on glassdoor, and this is absurd. When I decided to take the job offer at Broadly, recruiting was vague regarding expectations and the sales duties I was to have. Once I came on board the on-boarding was fast. To this day I am yet to receive sales training that is going to prepare me to succeed. Training is missing and there is no accountability for anyone to lead sales training for the sales team. There is a complete lack of enablement at Broadly and this is a concern because most of us are looking for help but have no where to go. No training yet we are required to make 100+ dials per day and we are expected to close several deals per month yet no training on how to do this successfully! The inbounds and trade-shows are reserved for a select few individuals and this makes obtaining quota quite the difficult journey. In fact most of us are far from tracking towards our quotas. Other frustrations are surrounding the high amount of claw backs as well as the cover that must be met before I can make commissions. So I have to close a many deals before I am eligible for commissions? ! This is mind blowing. I am looking for a light at the end of this tunnel and I haven't found it yet. The pod meetings are not open door even if they say that they are, so if we communicate frustrations we have a concern that we can get in hot water for voicing our view point.
