Pros

You'll learn about your industry and the pay is good relative to how easy the work is.

Cons

Hours are 9-6:30 at a minimum, benefits (HSA contributions, WFH) are taken away on a whim, and you have to work holidays (which isn't uncommon in journalism but most places are more upfront about it). Different managers have conflicting ideas of what quality looks like and there's no structure for career progression.
