Pros

The Admin Staff were amazing as well as the Associates. The building is very nice and easy access to route 93, 495 and 213. The benefits were good.

Cons

The CEO is a very difficult person to work for, and has such a ego personality. I was his Assistant and never have felt so poorly treated. Very snarky man! Horrible to work for. If you are a experience advisor, this is not so bad for you, but being an Admin or new Associate - run from this place. Mark, does not value you if you are not bringing in money. It is the way it is. He is extremely fake and cruel. Example, a young kid came in for an interview, I offered him water. The gentlemen did not use a drink coaster. This clearly was unacceptable to Mark. He refused to interview the man, asked him to leave and told him "your not "our" kind". It was so embarrassing and he humiliated the young man. This is normal of the CEO. There is no such existence of an HR department and the CEO tends to not follow employment laws. The CEO treats the Advisors well, once you start earning some money. However, he treats the Admin staff horrible. He will belittle you, talk down to you or plain just ignore you. They do ask you what kind of car you drive in your first interview and it is so he can determine your current cash flow situation. There is no communication between Management and Staff. You will never receive anything positive about your work but you will hear everything negative. The CEO creates a very unpleasant and fear like environment. There is no such thing of a two week notice. The second they get wind that you are planning on leaving they will walk you out the door immediately. Very high turn over rate. The new Associates they do make you reach out to your family and friends to drum in new business. Not a very positive company and I would stay far away from this place. The turn over rate was alarming to me. Very oppressed environment. Like another poster mentioned the rules are ridiculous. The CEO has so many "no" you can't do this - true example - no popcorn of any kind allowed! Who does that! I was there for a while and you forget what a normal company is. Do not work at BPFG unless you want be treated poorly! RUN!

I keep trying to block it out, but like a nightmare it keeps coming back.

Pros

None, none, none, none, none, none, none, none, none, none. Take the amount of "nones" I've said, and multiply it by two or three. That's how many pros there are.

Cons

Let's face it, if you weren't looking for a job, why would you be on this site? Those good reviews are because someone "planted" them. They aren't true If you are looking for a job, my best advice is to not get a job here. You will not be happy. You will either leave because you are so miserable, or you will get fired, not because you are not a good employee, but because they broke you down and you finally pulled your nose out of their backside. As soon as you stop putting a fake smile on or stop yesing them, you'll get fired. They only keep those who stay afraid to say something. They're not interested in hearing what you think. It's not a good place to work.
