HR is a problem

Pros

Vacation accrual is amazing and no one questions if you need time off. Great team rapport and connections made here. Excellent processes and systems that support getting our jobs done.

Cons

After leaving Boeing, my final W2 was incorrect. I was unable to talk with someone to help rectify the information, and was continuously denied the ability to speak with someone about it. This was due to a phone number change, and the only way you can be verified is through a text on your phone. Since I no longer have that phone number, I was told I could not speak with anyone to rectify the information. I sent paperwork in (via snail mail) to get this rectified and after months, it is still not rectified. I will be unable to put the correct W2 on my taxes and this is an issue, as the W2 was materially wrong. In addition, I was paid under market for over 15 years at this company. New hires were being brought in at significantly higher salaries with little to no experience, and the company rarely gave me more than a 2% increase. Finally, bonuses are promised, however since there are so many issues with senior leadership, I rarely saw the full bonus amount.

Pros

Great benefits at Boeing and that’s about it

Cons

Upper management does not listen and there really isn’t much upward mobility. Many people aren’t motivated or care about the cause which is frustrating. Work life balance is mid, with the consistent need to work OT due to poor planning

Pros

Health Care, Education Benefits (so that youn can leave the company for a higher paying role elsewhere.

Cons

There seems to be a growing divide between management and employees. When people raise concerns or offer perspectives that differ from the prevailing view, they fear retaliation. At Boeing, it often feels like no good deed goes unpunished. Leadership creates a culture of fear rather than support.
