The vibe is off from day one. People are competitive in all the worst ways — quick to judge, quick to dismiss, but nowhere to be found when real work needs to get done. There’s a streak of meanness and unprofessional behavior that feels almost normalized: subtle mobbing, talking behind backs, rolling eyes in meetings, shutting people down just to look smart. A lot of folks simply aren’t good at their jobs, which makes the hostility even harder to tolerate. Instead of teamwork, you get cliques and cold shoulders. The overall atmosphere is low-energy, dissatisfied, and quietly toxic.
