Inappropriate micromanagement by the CEO with useless processes made daily tasks unbearable.

The team had a few dedicated and skilled people.

Cons

The CEO's micromanagement was completely inappropriate, causing endless frustration. Every task, no matter how simple, had to go through useless layers of approval that did nothing but slow things down. Feedback was ignored, leaving scientist with the sense that their expertise didn't matter. Resources were poorly allocated, leading to inefficient workflows that were just a waste of time. It felt like senior staff were treated as if they couldn't make basic decisions, which was insulting.
