Leadership often has no clue what objectives they want the team to achieve and focus on. We are constantly working on projects that are half baked and on extremely tight deadlines. HR department is a joke. How about instead of wellness week, we spend that money and effort on bonuses or personal development. Speaking of personal development, it is non-existent. Most people here are in the same position, doing the same thing, year after year. Company culture either feels forced and not genuine, or non-existent.

I've been at Atom for a month now. So far it has been an overall excellent experience. Some things I have noticed that stand out. The chat makes it easy to communicate between team members. It is a family friendly workplace, the work hours are demanding but you can work from home some days to attend to family matters. Free catered and ordered lunch and snacks daily. Great health insurance. Company gives you a laptop. I felt lucky to get a brand new one. You aren't tied down to a desktop. Free parking or metro reimbursement. Getting the opportunity to work on some cool tech stacks. It is exciting to be part of a fast moving company and working on some great tech making the movie going experience cooler. Coworkers are friendly and management is easy to talk to.

Cons

None. Maybe the commute to Santa Monica but then it's a part of LA traffic.

Since the early startup days we have remained agile, passionate about technology and innovation and desire to provide the best ticketing experience for our customers. We build products at scale that have direct customer impact using the latest available tech. I trust my team and peers, my boss and our leadership. Every employee at Atom is empowered to voice and drive ideas, in fact for most it is a basic job responsibility.

Cons

Santa Monica commute! Learning the side streets helps. However working so close to the big studios and near other innovative tech buffs is a nice perk.
