Supportive strong company with a bright future
Pros
I have worked here since the fall of 2012. I started on Service Desk despite 12 years of former experience at major corporations up north. What I learned in 1 year at ArtemisIT overshadowed the boxed cubical life I once led. Artemis has always encouraged and promoted technical study, certification, and training. Due to the support I received from co-workers and management I went back to school and finished my BA in IT. They have always been there to help me and encouraged me professionally and personally. Even to the point of taking personal time to life coach me so I can succeed in all aspects of my life. Ive never had an employer give that much effort to better their employees. The balance of work and home life has never been an issue. At ArtemisIT the environment is competitive in a health brotherhood type atmosphere. If you put in the time and show the effort you will succeed. It’s the same in life, just showing up does not advance you. You have to want it and be willing to work on yourself. Although the company has had its ups and downs like all companies the silver lining was always in view. Management has continued to improve and has been setting the positive example employees would hope for in an employer. I am glad I stuck it out during the lean years. Unfortunately, others panicked and ran for the quick buck not able to see the forest for the trees.
Cons
The pay could be more but Ive never heard anyone complain they made to much money. The rewards you get in shared knowledge and support make up for that.
