There are a lot of great benefits for people working in the field, but anyone doing admin work is given very little flexibility or grace. Guys would be timeblocked for all kinds of reasons or given incentive days off, but it is incredibly difficult for office workers to do literally anything during the week due to our schedule. I was initially hired for a role that did not actually exist within my region and ended up doing collections most of the time. There is a pretty strict call goal that is not discussed before you're hired, and you are expected to be making those numbers regardless of whatever fun thing corporate wants you to do in the office (or any other clerical work that needs to be done.)
There is a huge push to promote within the company, so many people are pressured into taking jobs that may not be the right thing for their families. There was no work-life balance.
I ended up experiencing medical issues as a result of the stress I was under at this job and was encouraged to leave by my doctor. Many of us would have a 'car-cry' during our lunch break due to the treatment we received from customers.
