Despite the outward appearance of a “collegiate” culture, the environment felt cliquey and exclusive. There’s a lot of internal cheerleading and corporate-speak, but actual morale on the ground is low. Micromanagement is a major issue. I rarely had the chance to take initiative or grow beyond narrowly defined tasks. While I was there, there were layoffs that left some teams stretched thin, but there didn’t seem to be real acknowledgement from leadership about how this impacted workloads or morale.

Culture can feel cliqueish and political despite claims of having “no politics” and being "flat". Some managers tend to micromanage heavily without room for flexibility and treat the team like a military camp; favouritism can be quite apparent, and gossip behind colleagues’ backs is common, especially during leave periods or team conflicts. The environment can feel tense and not always genuinely supportive. Managers have no clue how to manage difficult clients, and push it onto the juniors for not making their lofty promises work.

Like most agencies, work can get busy and fast-paced at times. Taking leave could be challenging due to team coverage needs, and clashes were generally not allowed. This was especially scrutinised for junior team members, which could make planning time off stressful even when workload was manageable.
