Pros
Great pay and benefits, nice off-sites and monthly events
Cons
Though working as an engineer at AngelList seems like a perfect job on paper, there's many red flags that surface within the first few weeks of working here. The culture is highly competitive with your teammates willing to throw you under the bus for their own sake. Work/life balance is unheard of. Management claims to care about helping you grow in your career but is unable to provide actionable feedback. You may provide your own feedback to your manager, but it will go nowhere as management is stuck in their ways and unwilling to change. Also any feedback or questions you ask will be used against you in your review. There is inconsistent direction from higher management on where things are heading and constant shifts in what to work on. This results in nice looking products that aren't always reliably built. I'd recommend staying as far away as you can.

Pros
- Ownership: many projects are driven from conception to completion by one engineer - Compensation+equity+benefits - good pay, insurance, wellness stipend. "Unlimited" vacation, but I am actually able to take time off without my work laptop. - Everyone you work with cares about the business and doing a good job - Bias for action, fixing problems quickly, rather than spinning endlessly on decision making
Cons
- Flip side of ownership - bit of a sink or swim culture - I would prefer an explicit vacation policy to the unlimited one - Intensity+urgency can be stressful
