Compensation is well below industry standards for software developers in this area, often falling below the average salary provided by the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics by multiple tens of thousands of dollars per year. Employees also start with much lower PTO than I've experienced at other companies. Management makes decisions that are rash, impulsive, and arbitrary. Lower-level employees are treated as fodder for advancing the careers of management, who frequently take credit for a department's successes while placing blame on their subordinates for failures instead of taking responsibility themselves. Shortly after completing a major release of their new software, which senior leadership dubbed a historic success for the company, they terminated the majority of their development staff under false pretenses to prevent them from collecting unemployment benefits. Overall the most disappointing experience at any company I've worked for.
