Pros

Some of the employees there are hard working and are fun to work with

Cons

Although there are a few hard working folks, the majority are unqualified and lazy, with no accountability from management. One guy literally just walks around the office in his socks all day having to be tracked down to get his work done. The Sales Dept is unchecked and out of control, overstepping their bounds functionally and muddying the waters for the Ops Dept to do their job. It's almost like the lunatics have been left to run the asylum as the Sales Dept pretty much runs the company. Ownership continues to off-shore jobs and severely underpay staff (about 20% less than industry standards). They hire people from other industries, provide garbage training and expect the new employees to be able to do their job function as bsoon as they hit the floor. The business practices are shady as well. I got written up one time for not initiating a telephone number port because the customer hadn't provided an LOA (an FCC requirement). I was told that I should've "just done it" and was formally written up to HR. This place is a 'budget' telecom company being loosely held together with gum and string. If you need a check, it's fine for a few weeks while you look elsewhere.

Pros

Lots of great people at the company, if you aren't talking about the directors or C-level

Cons

It is a terrible work environment. There seems to be a competition to prove which department is the best at the company. There is a lot of arguing and management spends too much time trying to figure out who to blame instead of trying to make the company better. And it seems like only certain departments get recognition (operations and sales) and everyone else is left in the dust. They make management take harassment training per California law, but if you report harassment to HR, they'll ask you what you want them to do. They don't act like they really care. And that seems to show what their environment is really like There are no opportunities for growth. There are very few people that have been promoted within the company, and even fewer from manager to director. If you are looking to use this company as a stepping stone to your next job, don't stick around long. They keep their number of employees as low as they can, so you might find yourself doing multiple jobs, especially if people in your department leave the company and they don't hire someone to replace them. And don't expect additional pay for taking on additional jobs, you'll just get more work.

Pros

Remote work and decent benefits.

Cons

Micromanaging and mistreatment of others. They hire people outside of the U.S. for cheaper labor and control what they say and do while insulting them.
