Company provides many free meals, but overall environment is dangerous
Pros
As the title states, the company provided many free meals, and often. Some of the employees are okay people. The place didn't explode while I was there. The benefits aren't the worst I have had. There is a tiny gym that is nearly usable. They have company paid life insurance. Pension
Cons
In the 11 months I worked there, I couldn't count how many chemical spills/releases and fires occurred. I was constantly worried I was going to die. Management doesn't seem to grasp simple concepts, and people are MORE than eager to throw anyone under the bus for ANY reason. It seems that every part of the company is at odds with every other part- production, engineering, IT, maintenance, etc. They claim to promote a work/life balance, but they fall well short. Do not be surprised to work 2-3 weeks straight (including weekends) 12-16 hour days. I now breathe much easier from not being in such an unsafe and hostile environment. Working for this company was the biggest mistake of my career, hands down.
