Pros

Great people, interesting technology, fun company events. Good compensation and health insurance benefits

Cons

Limited resources and opportunities to advance. Business opportunities were scarce. Parent company not willing to drive new customer sales (which they controlled) and to invest in the JV long enough to allow it to be successful.

Pros

Paycheck and break room.

Cons

Backstabbing: When you witness people with more than ten years experience get removed without a word, beware it could happen to you. Death by meeting. Too much management. Every engineer has two to three managers. The company relies solely on putting out fires caused by outsourcing. They claim the outsourcing is to improve quality, but nothing is working that comes back from those companies. Since the Arris buy, the company is laying off employees left and right. No one feels sure about their position and moral is low. There is anger among employees and many feel the writing is on the wall.

Pros

Centrally located to key bay area freeways with gym located inside the building Ok salaries for the area with good benefits Talented admins and studio people Company just got acquired by a joint venture group for $135 million We have a christmas party every year

Cons

General bitterness and resentment circulates through the halls. CEO is timid and resists transparency and conflict. Takes a lot of vacations. Lack of agreement among senior management creates slow progress and indecision Product team requires some training in product management Daily rhetoric around culture has reached the level of absurdity. Everyone makes fun of it. Very little accountability among C-Level.
