Pros

Salary is in line with industry. benefits are good . There are a lot of good folks there.

Cons

Owner is not readily available to rank and file employees other than chit chat in passing, and email communication to him is STRONGLY discouraged by middle management (I was called to the mat by 2 middle managers over an email I sent to him regarding something I saw as an opportunity for process improvement, I was informed to NEVER email him again). Middle management is inexperienced in their "soft skills"and it shows, needs improving. Employee's are "clickish" so if you aren't in the "click" you get left behind. When you have issues that need addressed and you require assistance, The help is very limited (note this may be due to the above mentioned employee "clicks") The reference material provided is outdated & incomplete.

Pros

Good location, free espresso, nice facilities

Cons

Do your research and do not believe what you see on social media. Yes, the facilities are very nice but when that doesn’t spill over into the company culture or non-executive employee pay, is it worth it? Within the past year, there has been a leadership shakeup. ACDI went from a family friendly atmosphere to a very corporate and borderline micromanagement culture. If you are female, expect more pushback from executive leadership and every decision questioned even when you are given authority to do so in your role. Non existent upward mobility. Employee engagement surveys that are analyzed, yet instantaneously forgotten about. Departments are extremely siloed. Regardless of the sales teams malfeasance, ACDI is very much a sales led organization. Promotions with no pay increase, shoot from the hip business model, over worked team members, and throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks are just a few of the things you need to be asking about in your interview should you choose to pursue a career with ACDI. Though you can have free espresso daily!

Pros

If you’re one of the favorites, you’ll know it and so will everybody else. There are some good people on the ground floor.

Cons

Absent leadership beyond endless meetings and no female leadership with any authority to change the patriarchal culture. Passed over for earned promotions and raises that brand new employees are afforded. Prepare to have your kids names mentioned during performance reviews if you don’t have a spouse to pawn them off on. Swift changes in middle management that have no mentoring skills and work remotely. Prepare to have your title changed faster than you can use a box of business cards although the responsibilities continue to grow. Better not mention any challenges you’re having or you’ll be outcasted and dismissed. This place treats you like an experiment.
