Rough peak time assignments to handle

This company will send an offer letter, then a few days before your start date will rescind the offer. I interviewed for this position and was offered the job a few days later. I accepted and signed their offer letter. My start date was scheduled to be a week later (4/21) to accommodate my resignation from my current place of employment. It is currently three days before my scheduled start date and after I've already submitted my resignation notice to my current employer, I received a call to let me know my offer was rescinded as they've hired two other employees that could start immediately. No one reached out to me to ask if I could start working sooner. Instead, they've left me without a job. Seriously unprofessional and potential applicants should be warned to not put in their two week notices because even if they've signed their employment offer letters and given a start date this employer will pull the rug out from under them.
