Pros

AIG is very good for junior actuaries to get training in the insurance system. Their systems are very well built. There are many talented managers and people work hard to get things done.

Cons

Be aware when you negotiate salary. Do not go in too low just wanting to get in. The company is still suffering after aftereffect of financial crisis, and there are salary freezes in place and limits to the amount of salary increases. Thus negotiate a decent salary when you enter, it might be difficult for significant salary adjustment afterwards.
