I try not to think about my time at this agency, but came to Glassdoor because I heard they were posting fake positive reviews. They must be because there's no way working here is a close to a 4 start experience. This was the worst job I've ever had in terms of mental health and work/life balance and I'm sure many can relate. My time being there, there were several employees that disappeared, and never came back, now I know why. High turnover rate - people usually dip within 6 months. Some team managers foster extremely toxic, competitive, mean work environments and HR doesn't do anything to stop it. The owner and managers don't know how to manage a team properly to better set their employees up for success. There were a lot of sales executives that hardly worked, goofed around all day, not sure how they managed to let them stay. There wasn't a whole lot of direction for day-to-day duties. Lots of favoritism, not much coaching to help the less experienced sales executives learn so they pretty much goofed around all day and management did not care. Did not evenly split up accounts to others, there were the same 3 people working on high-end accounts. One of the gals on the team even felt extremely disowned because she wasn't getting the accounts she deserved. Then the managers overcompensate by being super nice to her. Sexism definitely takes place here. The managers made up the low compensation for free lunches. Don't waste your time here. Burnout is high. Not a good work life balance.

I loved my co-workers. They are the ONLY reason I stayed so long.

The Compensation is terrible! The pay is bad and got worse over the years as Management kept more and more commission for themselves and paid out less to the employees. You're expected to work at all hours BUT you will never get a yearly review and there is a slim chance you will ever get a raise, no matter how much money you make for this company. Management is terrible- The COO consumes alcohol on a daily basis and takes it upon himself to pick up new hires or anyone visiting the office from the airport, and drives them to the office while under the influence. He also drives employees to lunch while intoxicated. The COO also chews tobacco all day and regularly left his spit cups all around the office. Very disgusting, unsanitary and extremely embarrassing when we had guests in the office. The owner of A4D is one of the most disrespectful human beings I have ever met! He is verbally and mentally abusive to his employees, and was to me personally. He also has a history of publicly humiliating his employees. I should know as he did this to me on a regular basis for years. He truly treats most people like second-class citizens. Overall, leadership is a joke here. If you can even call it leadership. Managers cover their own butts and will throw anyone under the bus to save themselves from the crazy owner that still runs the show. I noticed that the COO always kept a "fall" guy around in the event that he needed to use someone to save himself from being fired. This was always sad to watch because he comes off like someone you think you can trust. Don't be fooled, it's all fake! Tradeshows can get weird- The tradeshows were especially tricky for female employees. Most women that work there, if they end up at a tradeshow, are used as bait to get business. It's beyond disgusting. This was a common practice in the past, hopefully that has changed... Also- A4D is known for incentivizing current employees to leave positive reviews on this platform, so don't be confused by the 5 star reviews from current employees. Those are all paid for. A4D - Just treat people with respect and the positive reviews will come organically. In short- If you are looking to work at A4D, I suggest you keep it moving and go elsewhere. Reach out to any past A4D employee on LinkedIn and you'll find that they ALL hate the company. There is a reason for that, so save yourself the drama and just keep it moving.

High ego environment / narcissists. This job requires you to work outside the 8:30-5:30 office hours in order to make a good income. Loud office floors.
