A subsidiary of US-based EMCOR, EMCOR Group (UK) builds, installs, and maintains mechanical and electrical systems for customers in the UK. Some of the company's work includes electrical, heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems; security and fire detection systems; as well as design, consulting, and ground maintenance services. Serving various industries, EMCOR Group UK's major clients have included British Airways, University of Cambridge, and BAE Systems. The company was originally founded in 1964 as Drake & Scull; in the late 1980s it was acquired by JWP, EMCOR's predecessor company.
