CyberData isn't married to just the fax anymore -- though it still holds a special place in the company's heart. Founded in 1989 as a fax service bureau, CyberData provides electronic information management and distribution services through print and mailed surveys, fax, interactive voice response, and the Internet. Through its ProFAX unit, the company offers fax broadcasting services that allow companies to send information to multiple numbers at one time, and it provides fax-on-demand services that allow customers to request information by phone or the Internet and have it delivered to fax machines. CyberData's smaller CyberTPA unit is a central database service for third-party pension plan administrators.
