CVR Energy puts its energy into oil refining and the production of petroleum products. It operates a 115,000 barrels-per-day-throughput-capacity oil refinery in Coffeyville, Kansas and a 70,000 barrels-per day refinery in Oklahoma, and a crude oil gathering system in Kansas and Oklahoma. CVR Energy Coffeyville refinery, has 1.2 million barrels of storage tanks, and it also has 2.7 million barrels of leased storage capacity in Cushing, Oklahoma. It has asphalt and refined fuels storage and terminalling plants in Phillipsburg, Kansas. The company, through subsidiaries, controls CVR Partners, LP (a producer of ammonia and urea ammonium nitrate fertilizers) and serves as its general partner.
