I have been working at BioWare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Bright comfy office with loads of options to chill
Some of the most inspiring producers and artists of the industry who are willing to support new employees
    Fair salary and bonus scheme
Some fascinating projects currently in pre-production

    Cons

Weather tends to be on the cold and rainy side
    Occasional crunch (Though much improved)

    Advice to Management

Follow your visions, not games that sell the most (Witcher, Skyrim). Set trends instead of following them. Streamline project management to save resources and bring in new developers to fill the void left by the likes of David Gaider among others.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at BioWare (Austin, TX (US)) in April 2011.

    Interview

I did a phone interview with several developers, where I was asked about my past experience and technical questions relating to that experience. I then a programming skills test. They did not mention that you couldn't use the Internet as reference, but I assumed they preferred me not to do so. After that, I had several on-site interviews where they tried to find the best fit for me. The interviews were group interviews, with behavioral questions, experience-related question, and some whiteboard questions. Everyone was incredibly professional and went out of their way to make sure I wasn't nervous.
