Senior Engineer / Engineer - Organic Synthesis & Polymer Processing

Hong Kong

The appointee will focus on organic synthesis and polymer processing to develop acoustic materials and functional coating technology. Key responsibilities include:

Conducting polymer formulation and processing for elastomers (e.g., silicone, polyurethane);
Performing organic synthesis for silane-based photosensitive materials;
Designing, preparing, and optimizing formulations;
Characterizing and testing materials and samples;
Scaling up processes for trial production;
Collaborating with NAMI’s research staff and industrial partners on R&D activities; and
Completing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Education: Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Organic Synthesis, Materials Engineering, or related field (fresh graduates considered).
Skills:
- Preferred knowledge of organic synthesis methods (e.g., ATRP, RAFT);
- Preferred experience in silicone/polyurethane formulation;
- Familiarity with materials characterization (e.g., NMR, GPC, DSC) and manufacturing processes (e.g., internal mixing, hot press) is a plus; and
- Sound insulation/absorption testing expertise is advantageous.
Languages: Proficient in English and Chinese, with strong report writing and presentation skills.

We offer 5-day work, attractive remuneration package to the successful candidates. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
